Privacy policy
Last updated 14 September 2026
Bolt Book collects nothing. The app makes no network requests of any kind. Everything you enter is stored on your device and never leaves it, so there is nothing for the developer or anyone else to receive, hold, read or share.
Bolt Book is designed to be entirely privacy oriented and consumer friendly.
What the app stores, and where
Bolt Book keeps the exercises, workouts, sets, body weight entries and settings you enter in a database inside the app's own storage on your iPhone. That storage is private to the app and is not readable by other apps.
What Bolt Book does not do
- No account, sign-in, or email address is asked for.
- No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting or usage measurement.
- No advertising and no tracking of any kind, across apps or otherwise.
- No third-party services receive information from the app, because none are called.
- No data is sold, shared or disclosed, because none is collected.
The App Store listing declares Data Not Collected in every category, which is a description of the same fact.
Device backups
If you back your iPhone up to iCloud or to a computer, that backup may include Bolt Book's data along with the rest of the device. Those backups are made and controlled by Apple's software under Apple's privacy policy, not by this app, and the developer has no access to them.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes its storage and everything in it. There is no server copy, so nothing survives elsewhere, and there is no request to make of anyone to have data erased.
Children
Bolt Book is rated 13+ and is not directed at children under 13. This is a judgement made by the creators about subject matter - tracking weight and quantifying health metrics can be difficult for some people and should be done responsibly. Therefore Bolt Book is not intended for young users.
Your rights
Privacy law in Australia, the United Kingdom, the European Union and elsewhere gives people rights over personal information that an organisation holds about them - to see it, correct it, or have it erased. No such information is ever held here. The developer never receives your data, so there is no controller or APP entity relationship to act under, and the data on your device is under your control alone.
Changes
If a future version of the app ever sends data anywhere, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be described here rather than applied quietly.
